10 Must-Have Stylish Hats for Fall

Wide brim hats just ooze sophistication. It’s so much fun to coordinate your hat with a beautiful scarf, a trench or leather gloves. I love Los Angeles weather, but it’s still warm here and I really can’t wait for it to cool down so I can wear warmer clothes. Hats can be so much fun to play around with and can completely dress your look up or tone it down. Whatever your style, there’s a hat to match. I personally like classic looks with a bit of edge. A large brim hat with a touch of leather is my absolute favorite. For example, last month, I did an Old Hollywood Actress Roundup for Babble Beauty and one of the pictures I loved the most was the one of Ava Gardner wearing a gorgeous hat with a feather.

Since we can’t all walk around like Hollywood icons, here are my 10 must-have stylish hats for those of us who love a spectacular accessory that is both fun and functional.

  • H & M Wool Felt Floppy Brim Hat 1 of 10

That's me wearing one of my favorite hats. I bought it at H & M about two years ago, and just love matching it with a trench coat. I never really wear my hair curly, but I like the way it falls from the hat, giving me a carefree look

(Similar hat at Nordstrom for $40.)

  • Leather Trimmed Rancher 2 of 10

This hat is total statement piece. Just look at that beautiful Oxblood color. It's so rich and gorgeous, and the leather trim is a beautiful detail. I may have to get this hat to go with a crisp white buttoned down shirt and a pair of boyfriend jeans.

  • Warehouse Bobble Beanie 3 of 10

ASOS has pretty much has everything imaginable, including this adorable Bobble Beanie that is just perfect with a navy blue peacoat!

How great is this cloche for a holiday event? I would completely commit to the look with a retro pencil skirt and jacket.

Purchase at Brooks Brothers for $98

  • Black Cloche 5 of 10

This look is so me. Maybe because the model looks like she's going to hang out at a museum, and when I lived in NYC and worked in the art field, we pretty much wore black as a uniform. But this Eugenia Kim Cloche with a '70s leather jacket is pure perfection.

Purchase from Eugenia Kim for $70

This hat is ideal for a cool California night.  I love that you can dress it up with a beautiful coat or keep it causal with a denim jacket.
