Cobalt blue is still a huge color. "It's eye-catching in everything from a swimsuit to a clutch to nail polish," she adds.

Douglas says that clunky platform heels are OUT. "A moderate stiletto, wedge heel, or low square heel are the biggest shoes on the market right now. And of course lots of comfy flat sandals," says Douglas.

SUMMER FASHION TIP: Color + Metallic Shoes 11 of 11
"I think everyone loves embracing color in the summer, " says Douglas. "For an easy outfit with high impact, find a flattering dress in a bold color that suits your skin tone and pair with some metallic sandals. You can't go wrong. And remember: trends are not as important as flattering your figure. Stick with garments that highlight your assets and make you feel comfortable and confident."
