5 Ways to Tie a Scarf

I’m a bit obsessed with scarf season. From finding the perfect scarf or even finding ways to incorporate it in other ways, scarves seems to be a great topic for me. Especially since my wardrobe has been a bit simpler since finding out I was pregnant, a scarf is a great way to play it up. I love being able to wear a scarf different ways, but some days going back to the classics is a great way to go. Here are 5 ways to tie a scarf and yes, instructions are included.

    Learn step by step how to tie a scarf 5 different ways.

  • European Loop or Loop Through 2 of 19

    The classic style, the European loop, also known as the loop through. 

  • Loop Through Step One 3 of 19
    S-Loop Through1

    Step 1) Fold the scarf in half length-wise to form a loop.

    Step 2) Place the loop around your neck and pass the loose ends through the loop.

    Step 1) Fold the scarf length-wise to form a loop, like you would a European loop.

     Step 1) Fold the scarf in half lengthwise and place it over your neck.

     Step 2) Tie it once loosely, then tie it again, but instead of pulling it tight into a knot, leave it loose so it forms a chain link.

    Step 1) Fold the scarf in half lengthwise and then place around the neck, and wrap around neck leaving one side longer than the other.

    Step 2) Cross ends over and bring the top layer back over the other.

    Step 3) Tighten to the neck and through the loop you've created.

    Step 1) Fold the scarf in half lengthwise and place round the neck, with one side very short and one very long.

    Step 2) Take the long side and wrap around the neck until only the end remains.

    Step 3) Tie the two ends and conceal the knot under the folds of the scarf.
