I have always been one to break the rules. Whether it was in high school, or in fashion. Rules, seasonal rules especially, were made to be broken. White is no exception! For me, everyone expects me to break the white pants rule. And well, once I am expected to do anything, I just go the other way. This time around, the other way included a little white dress. My LWD hung in my closet all summer. It never seemed appealing until now. Why wear a simple white dress with sandals in the heat? With kids, you are bound to make a mess of it. Sweat, heat, kids, they just don’t go well. But in the winter, when your LWD is layered, and in certain ways just a cool layering piece, and majorly hidden from the day’s masses and messes, why not wear it?

Date Night-Sleek and Chic 2 of 6
Wearing a little white dress for a date night is absolutely adorable. If you're one of the many parents (myself included) who don't go on enough of them, wearing a white dress that night will make the night even more special. Pair the look with a fun pair of tights, a clean simple faux leather and a pair of fun black shoes.
Bohemian Comfy 3 of 6
A white dress, whether it's pleated like mine or super simple, looks amazing layered in a bohemian style. This look is great for the mama who is looking for comfort and style.
Riding Off 4 of 6
These boots have such a story behind them. I have had them for over 3 years now, and they were my first "pregnancy purchase." I needed flat comfortable and stylish boots and these did the trick. Through sleet, snow, rain, and shine they've held up! Wearing them with a little white dress in a signature "riding" style seems like a no brainer.
Military 5 of 6
There's nothing that I love more than a good military jacket. Paired with my bordeaux clogs and a white dress, this outfit gives off an edgy and girly feel.
Simply Grunge 6 of 6
I'll admit, I wear my husband's clothing more than I do my own. His shirts always fit the right way. And his socks always go up just high enough. For a grunge look that will flow smoothly with your LWD, grab an old plaid shirt from your man, a pair of sneakers and voila!
