Oversized Cardigan 2 of 13
I am always cold on airplane flights, especially with those little vents constantly blowing down on me, so a cardigan is a must for me. I own this one and the unstructured flowiness is so comfy and perfect for using as a blanket for you or your kids!
Find it at Winnie and Kat for $98.
Oversized Cardigan 2 3 of 13
Here's another less expensive oversized cardigan option. This one is more of a boyfriend shape, and still super comfy and flattering. Also, that plum color is AMAZING.
Find it at Old Navy for $19 (on sale!)
Easy Shoes 4 of 13
Now that we're required to take our shoes off during security, a simple slip on shoe is definitely an essential. I'd also choose it over a slip on sandal any day because it keeps my feet warmer. If you're road tripping, it's also a better choice than a sandal because it's not flopping around by the gas pedal.
Find these at Forever 21 for $15 (on sale!)
Easy Shoes 2 5 of 13
This brightly colored cap-toe pair is also perfect for flights and roadtrips and adds a little spice to your outfit.
Find them at Gap for $44.95
Comfy Pants 6 of 13
I've linked to these pants before, and it's just because they are the world's comfiest pants. A pair of comfortable pants is essential, and I'd pick a pair of pants over a skirt any day just so I can spread out and not ever worry about flashing anyone.
Find them at Windsor for $15.43 (on sale, and back in stock!)
Comfy Pants 2 7 of 13
This pair of patterned "Treggings" (trouser-leggings) looks super comfy and they come in a fun pattern. They also sell them in solid colors.
Find them at H&M for $17.95.
Large Tote 8 of 13
A large tote is essential for me to carry snacks, water, socks, my wallet, sunglasses, camera, headphones... the list could go on. This one is neutral, but the yellow stripes add a fun element. Plus it has a long shoulder strap, and a reinforced bottom for extra strength.
Find it at Gap for $49.95.
Large Tote 2 9 of 13
I own this tote and although it's specifically a camera bag, I use it for a regular bag all the time. It has moveable and removable dividers so I can fit my water bottle, my camera, and other important things without them rolling around inside. Plus it has a ton of pockets AND a shoulder strap.
Find it at Jo Totes for $119.
Cute Watch 10 of 13
Although I usually wear a watch, I regularly rely on my phone to tell me the time. So on plane flights when you're required to turn off your phones, I like having a watch so I can still keep track of the time.
Find this one at Macy's for $48.99.
Cute Watch 2 11 of 13
This fun orange banded watch is also another cute option!
Find it at Forever 21 for $19.80.
Makeup Compact 12 of 13
I have oily skin, and looking and feeling greasy is anything but stylish. I always carry a little compact in my purse when I travel to touch up during a bathroom break and help me feel a little bit more fresh. Carrying a travel size deodorant doesn't hurt either!
Find it at soap.com for $12.95.
Easy and Chic Hair-do 13 of 13
My hair is just now long enough to do a good fishtail braid, so I've been rocking that during the last few flights. I love that it's out of the way, but still looks pretty and like I put some effort into it.
