What to Wear (and How to Pack) for Your Next Road TripMerrick White
With all of the holidays and vacations going on this time of year, many people are road tripping around the country.
Although it can certainly be tempting to just throw on a pair of pajamas and coast through the next five or 10 hours in the car, there’s a way to still be comfy but not look like a total slob. Save yourself some embarrassment when you stop to eat dinner or arrive at your in-laws.
Before we delve into what you should wear to look chic (while still comfy!) on the road, we rounded up three tips to make packing a breeze.
1. Lay your clothes flat in your suitcase
Rolling them up or folding them can leave creases or create wrinkles. Instead, lay each piece flat on top of one another, unfolded (or just sleeves folded in, if necessary) to keep them as unwrinkled as possible.
2. Stuff your shoes with socks
This will keep them from getting squashed and deformed in your packed suitcase.
3. Feed the chains of your necklaces through drinking straws
This is a great way to keep your jewelry from getting tangled!
After you’re all packed, it’s time to figure out what you’re going to wear on your 5+ hour car ride. We rounded up both outfit ideas as well as hairstyles that will have you road tripping in style without sacrificing your comfort.
