Valentine’s Day is coming up fast and whatever level of participation you’re committing to, your outfit is part of the planning. A holiday is always more special if you spend a little time thinking about what you want to wear.
You should start by figuring out what you’re doing and where you’re going. Are you dressing up for a fancy dinner in the evening or dressing down for a day out with your girlfriends? Valentine’s can be the perfect time to pull out your girliest pieces, so don’t be afraid to rock that romantic pink dress or flirty tulle skirt! But you don’t have to feel overwhelmed with options, you can make the day special by keeping your outfit simple and casual too.
Below are 8 Valentine’s Day Fashion Outfits so that no matter what your guy, or gals, have planned, I hope you find some inspiration here. (Not all my looks are dresses, but if you’re looking for a pink or red dress this article has you covered.) And remember, Valentine’s Day is about giving love, so make sure that’s your focus! It’s not about clothes, although that’s a lot of fun. And it’s not about getting stuff, although that’s great too.
Make your day count and share your love with the people in your life that are genuine, caring, and true.
Marooned 1 of 8
If you're going out on the town with your lucky guy, remember that they usually prefer something fuss-free that focuses on simple, clean lines. This body-conscious look is just the thing that guys tend to notice and it's sure to focus all of your date's attention on you!
Girly Glam 2 of 8
In comparison to the last look, now we're dressing for the girls. We love the fluff of the tulle skirt and the Roman Holiday inspired flats. It's feminine, it's charming, and it's romantic. It also shows that your perfect outfit might not have any shade of pink in sight.
Flower Power Pants 3 of 8
Valentine's Day would just be an excuse to buy these amazing pants. I love them so much that I am putting them on my Valentine Card list. These pants are worth the purchase because you're sure to wear them every day for the next 6 months, not just for one holiday. They're that spectacular.
Sweets For Your Sweetie 4 of 8
Hearts and Bows 5 of 8
Anything with hearts is perfect for Valentine's Day obviously! This shirt is subtle, but darling. I paired it with this amazing skirt, which I just picked up in the clearance section at Anthropologie, I couldn't find a similar one, so check the sale rack at your Anthro, if you love it.
Edgy and Soft 6 of 8
I love this dress because the floral pattern is sweet, but the black lace and shoes give this look a little edge. I like mixing edgy and soft details for a balanced look.
Touches of Pink Throughout 7 of 8
If you don't want to wear pink and red from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, that's fine. You can still feel festive with touches of pink spread throughout your outfit. There are a lot of fun color combos that are fashionable right now: red and maroon, pink and green, red and sea foam, even pink and red are on trend.
Casual Cool 8 of 8
Personally, I like to dress up all day for Valentine's, not just for evening celebrations. But this outfit is great if you are keeping your day casual. If comfort is your top priority, then this outfit's for you.
