Colorful And Fun DIY Pom Pom Cardigan

The world is pom pom crazy right now and the obsession is slowly infiltrating the fashion scene, which is more than okay with me! I remember seeing a pom pom sweater on a friend’s Instagram last year and it was love at first sight. In keeping with my New Year’s resolution to wear more color I made a DIY pom pom cardigan for myself with bright mini poms. There are a couple ways you can go about doing it, scroll the the photos below to see how!

You need just a few things:

    Cardigan

    Mini Poms

    Needle and thread

  • Arrange the Poms 3 of 7

Figure out where you want the poms to be before you start sewing them on! I wanted it to be pretty evenly covered so I counted the same amount of poms for each side of the cardigan. You could also just eyeball it!

String the needle through the pom and sew onto the designated spot. Just a few tight stitches will do!

  • Don’t Forget the Sleeves and Back 5 of 7

This is what my cardigan looked like after I finished the front and the sleeves, don't forget to cover the back in poms too!

  • An Even Easier Alternative 6 of 7

If you want an even easier option to make a pom sweater, Liquid Stitch is the way to go! I did one side sewing and one side using this glue and it took half the time. It says machine washable but it may be less permanent than sewing.

A fun and bright outfit, perfect for my resolution to wear more color. I think the pom cardigan and mustard pants were made for each other!
