On any given day you’ll mostly likely find me wearing a necklace I made a couple years ago with scrap leather and a few other items I had left over from previous projects. It was super simple to make but I constantly have people asking where I bought it so I thought it was time to make a tutorial to share with the world! You can find similar styles all over the web and probably even at stores but I swear this will be one of the easiest DIY’s you’ll ever do so try it out! Make one for yourself or to give to a friend as a christmas gift—or both! Click through the slideshow below to see how to make this DIY leather chevron necklace:

Cut out your three chevron shapes
Pierce holes 5 of 12
Use the tack to make holes where you'll need to attach the metal rings.
Holes 6 of 12
The top and middle one will have four holes (as shown) and the bottom one will have just two.
Metal rings 7 of 12
Open the metal rings and attach to the leather pieces, connecting them all
All metal rings in place 8 of 12
It should look like this when all the rings are in place!

Attach your chain to the top metal ring, on each side!
Straighten 10 of 12
The leather can stretch and get a little wonky so straighten the pieces out as much as you can.
