Just one week ago, my husband, my soon-to-be four year old, and I walked into an office to eagerly find out the sex of the new baby. While deep down inside, I already knew and my daughter insisted, almost insulted we dared question her that it was a boy, we went to my ultrasound appointment to “be sure.” My husband was through the roof, he has his spoiled little girl and now a little man to carry on the family name. A few days later, I launched a Pinterest board that brought me to tears – I was having a boy. My little family was complete. Once the emotions had passed, the shopping-crazed momma kicked in. I was amazed at how far little boy fashions had come and I was excited to shop them. Check out these stylish must haves for little boys and of course, for my little guy.

While my daughter says daddy is her prince, my Prince Charming (as this bodysuit clearly states) is coming in February and she is excited to become a big sister. She would love this bodysuit for the baby that says how much he already loves her. And of course, being that this guy is the only one to carry on the family name, Papa (my father-in-law) is already making sure I am taking good care of this belly - it was his last chance.

I'm not sure which look I love the most. The fur-lined hooded jacket fits in perfectly in this city's weather, but the green parka and Ramones T-shirt fits this city's style. But the toggle sweater with jeans is something his father would wear, so obviously this look had won my heart.

Plaid Everything 5 of 6
Every little boy looks good in plaid and these options are getting me even more excited to be having a boy. The plaid shirt with a red bow tie reminds me of the movie Problem Child, which if my son comes out like his mother, this top is a must! It goes great with these flannel cords that are of course lined in plaid. And when living in a city like Chicago, every kid needs a puffer vest, especially a plaid one.

I'm a shoe-lover, so naturally my son should have a cute selection, as my daughter has hers as well. My daughter loves her glitter Toms so much I have decided her brother should have a pair of Toms as well. And of course, I love high-top sneakers and so I would have to get him his own pair of high-tops as well. But for casual days, when he just wants to lounge around in his baby aviators and polo tees, a pair of slip-ons adds the perfect finishing touch.
