I had a baby very recently and I realized that you really have to put some thought into what you put on everyday when you’re nursing. There were a few times I slipped something on, so excited that I could fit into my clothes again, then went to nurse and discovered that my outfit just wasn’t going to work at all. (Like a back zip dress that I nearly had to pull over my head!)
Now I’m only 5 weeks into trying to maintain a stylish wardrobe while nursing, but I think I’ve got the hang of it!
Here are 5 tips that have helped me wear just about everything in my wardrobe so I can still feel cute while nursing.
PS. I saved the best tip for last!
Wear Dresses That Button-Up In Front 1 of 7
Button-up dresses are pretty much the only way you can still wear dresses while you're nursing, and luckily there are plenty gorgeous ones to choose from in all kinds of styles. They are also really forgiving on your post-baby body!

Utilize Your V-Neck Tees 2 of 7
V-neck shirts of any kind are your best friend, especially when they are paired with a scarf. You can easily pull the front down in a pinch and keep yourself adequately covered with your scarf.
Wrap Blouses Are Your Friend! 3 of 7
This wrap style top is made specifically for the convenience of nursing and I love that they are simple so you can pair them with any style of pant. Cardigans also go great over these for extra coverage while nursing.

Loose Blouses Are Too! 4 of 7
Oversized, loose tops have been my go-to for nursing in style. Look for ones that are loose enough to pull up and drape loosely over baby and then you've got a built-in nursing cover! Seriously, these are a life saver!

Lots And Lots (And Lots) Of Tank Tops 5 of 7
And the best tip of all tank tops! And a lot of them. If you wear a tank top, you can pretty much nurse in anything with the exception of dresses. They allow you to pull any top you wear up without exposing your stomach. I'm pretty sure I've worn a tank top under every article of clothing since my son was born.
