I get many press releases about new apps it’s honestly rather astonishing how many are created each week but most of them are similar to already existing apps, or just aren’t that interesting. But the press release from Rewardable really made me sit up and take notice.
Here’s how Rewardable describes their app in their blog post.
“Rewardable is a new mobile app (available on both iPhone and Android phones) that pays shoppers for collecting and sharing information about products, promotions, and how businesses are performing. After creating an account, you’ll be asked to link it to a PayPal account. Once that’s done, you’re ready to start earning money!
A map or list-view of tasks in your area will appear. You can pick whichever tasks you wish to complete and the amount earned is stored in your account. When you’re ready to withdraw your earnings, simply choose the “Withdraw” option and your money will be transferred directly into your PayPal account.”
Here’s what I learned while setting up my account. It’s really a sort of “secret shopper” program where you can earn money quickly while running your weekly errands. Basically, you download the app, set up an account, and take a look at the offers in your area. For instance, in my area I can easily earn $6 simply by snapping a photo of the drink mixers at my grocery store and answering a couple questions. There were about a half dozen similar offers for my preferred grocer meaning my grocery trip just earned me $36 with only a few minutes of my time.
It’s not exactly something I’d go out of my way for I’m not going to drive to all the other grocery stores in my area to look at their drink mix selections, for instance but if I’m in the store, I’d be happy to take a moment. Rewardables then sends the money to your Paypal account usually in just a few days, according to the site making it worth it. Best of all, there are many tasks that can be done while you’re home watching television: on my account I have eight offers that can earn me $7 just checking stuff with my phone. Again, not big cash, but if I’m just sitting there watching TV I might as well.
Take a look and check it out. It’s only being tested in a few areas so if it’s not available in your location now, check again in the future.
