Great news just trickled down from the folks over at Microsoft. OneNote for Mac is now available, and it is free!
I have been using OneNote for a few years and find it to be just what I needed. I have tried other tools to keep my notes (and life) organized, but haven’t been able to find one that I can use effortlessly.
I like OneNote and use it because it gives me just what I need, order and simplicity. As a work-at-home mom with a kindergartener and a one year old, I need to plan everything. I need to know what I am doing, when it needs to get done and how I will make it all happen.
For me, OneNote is an efficient tool I use it to plan family holidays, events, travel, my son’s school activities among other things. With this update, I will be able to use OneNote across all the platforms that I use (PC, Mac, iPad, Web) without needing to have one device over another to update my notebooks.
I believe OneNote features are great for both techie and non-techie moms alike as it is super easy to use and provides an easy way to prepare and save important information.
For example, OneNote for Mac has included Office Lens. It allows you to capture documents and whiteboards right from your smartphone. Web clipper is another tool that allows you to save web pages to your notebooks. And if you want to email noted directly to your notebook, Microsoft has also included firstname.lastname@example.org, a service that allows you to do just that.
