The Scary Reality of Our Toddler's Teeth
Even after our teething tots get a full mouth of chompers, there is a whole secret and damn scary looking world of activity happening under their gums that we never see.
Yes, your toddler is running around with this creepy double row of teeth which is likely the culprit for their crappy mood some days. Can you imagine having that many teeth in your head? Hell, some of those look like they are trying to make a break for it out of the bottom of the skull!
I can’t even imagine how uncomfortable it must be for them! Well, I am sure if I try really hard I might get a smidge of memory from my own childhood … but that isn’t something I want to be remembering!
I came across this yesterday on io9 and sat in shock for a good 20 minutes while I examined the picture of this child’s skull.
But just think about the size of your toddlers head, I mean, my kids have some big heads which is one of the reasons I am certain I couldn’t deliver them on my own, but in the grand scheme of things they are pretty small. And all of that is actually taking place in there.
It’s completely fascinating and totally scary all at the same time. It’s one of those moments in my life as a mother I sit in awe and wonder how on earth my husband and I were able to create such an amazing thing!
What do you think about the inside view of our toddlers teeth?

This is what we’ll see in my daughter’s xray tomorrow morning I suppose. I am so not a fan of things involving teeth and the mouth.
My own teeth kind of scare the pants off me; my toddler’s even worse. Her teeth came in much too close together, and looking at your picture made a sad place in my heart for how hard it must have been to get all of those teeth into their respective places.

Fascinating, and making me anxious.
