Two weeks ago we took a walk down memory lane together with 25 movies we all loved when we were children ourselves. This week, we are going to take a different walk down memory lane: games we all loved when we were kids. From the classics like mouse trap, to those games we probably had no idea how to really play but enjoyed stealing all the pieces and making our own game up.
I took some of my own favorites and included some readers suggestions, and the list came out great.
Best of all, no matter how old all of these games are, you can still find them for sale on Amazon — meaning you can share the games you loved as a child with your own children!
A great way to incorporate board games into your family time is by having a family game night once a week . It’s a way to get the family to spend quality time together and have fun … before they are older and think they are way too cool.

Mouse Trap 1 of 10Who didn't love Mouse Trap? It was one of my favorites, although I am sure my parents hated it because it was the set up from hell.
As a parent myself, I completely shudder thinking about assembling it for my own kids. Oh, and the pieces ... YIKES!

Chutes and Ladders 2 of 10Another great one I loved! The best part is the game has updated over the years and is just as toddler friendly now as it was when we were kids.

Hi Ho Cherry-O 3 of 10Nothing like a good race to throw a little competition into a children's game right? Who didn't actually like Hi Ho Cherry-O?

Don’t Break the Ice 5 of 10This game used to drive me NUTS! Putting it together, just to break it all apart. I am sure I threw a number of fits over this game as a kid. Did you play it?

Hungry Hungry Hippos 6 of 10We play this game all the time in our house, and even though I didn't have it as a child myself, it is one of those must-have games for toddlers.

Pretty Pretty Princess 7 of 10This was my favorite game of ALL time. Being able to play dress up, while actually playing a game was genius. Although most of the game pieces just ended up in with my dress up clothes!
