I’m not sure if my baby/toddler has teeny tiny feet or not, but now that she’s walking I’ve had the hardest time finding hard-sole shoes in her size. Most hard-sole shoes start in a size 4 or 5 and she’s a size 2 or a 3. The soft-sole shoes were great when she was smaller, but now that she’s starting to walk outside we need something a little heartier. Living in Oregon, soft-sole shoes just won’t do with the rainy weather we get. I looked around and then found my favorite hard-sole shoes that come in small sizes. They’re all stylish, but practical for little, growing feet and many are gender neutral in case you care to pass them down to your next child (since kids outgrow shoes in approximately two seconds). Check out my favorites!
Minnetonka Double-Frings Side Zip Bootie 1 of 10There are a ton of cute moccasin options out there, but very few with hard soles. These are totally cute and the hard soles make them perfect for places with wetter weather.

Chuck Taylor All-Star Ox 2 of 10I definitely bought a pair of these for Fern. They lace up, which means they'll stay on, and they're much easier to get on than the high top version. I like that they're classic and will be able to be saved for our next child regardless of whether we have a boy or a girl, and I'll definitely be saving them since babies wear shoes for approximately two seconds before outgrowing them.

Keds Champion Crib Shoe 7 of 10These are on my wish list for Fern - you can't go wrong with a pair of Keds in classic red. It's a bit of a vintage throwback and would be so cute paired with a little floral dress or a pair of seersucker pants on a little man.

Robeez Little Gentleman Slip-On 8 of 10I'm generally not a fan of Robeez shoes - I find them a little cheezy - but I must say I'm impressed with these. I love the mix of textured fabrics and the style is great. Robeez is also a very trusted brand focused on creating shoes that are comfortable and appropriate for growing little feet, so you can rest easy.

Sperry Top Sider Bluefish Crib Shoe 9 of 10In my personal opinion, there is nothing quite so cute as a little man in Sperrys.
