I remember before I had kids, we were at our friends’ house on a Saturday night. They had a 3-year-old girl. She was asking for thing after thing after thing, calling out “Mommy” then “Daddy” (when Mommy was over it).
I know I thought that somehow, this was the parents’ fault, and that I would never end up in this situation.
It’s funny the things you think before you are a parent, right?
It’s 9:22pm. My 3-year-old just fell asleep. We’d been trying to get him down since…I dunno…8pm?
We did everything short of lock him in his room (which we’re not above, by the way).
