11 Jobs Moms Should Also Be Paid For

danielle Danielle |

What hats do you wear?

There are so many hats we wear on a daily basis when taking care of our kids that sometimes we all start to wonder how much money we could really be making if we were doing this all in the real world.

Cook, clean, taxi cab … so on and so forth. You know it, because I am willing to bet you are doing it all the time just like I am.

Last week was especially crazy and I started to really think about all the stuff we do in a day, especially with three active kids — two of which are in school.

As I started to list some of them, I could do nothing but chuckle to myself and then I decided to ask the readers some of the really common jobs they could make a career, that they are doing on a daily basis.

Some of the answers made me chuckle because it is crap I do without thinking about as well.

Maybe this is why they say some stay-at-home-mothers are worth their weight in gold?

  • A Maid

    A Maid

Aren't we all part maid? After this past weekend I really realized how much my job as a mom should also be paid as a full time housekeeper.
I know I am not the only one who feels that way!

    Short Order Cook

"Mommy I want a grilled cheese! Mommy I want a peanut butter and jelly! Mommy I want chicken!" I swear if I was cooking like this for a living I would be a millionaire!

Oh a mind reader! Looks like reader Ashley C and I have a lot in common!
I swear that the kids expect me to be able to know exactly what they want or what they want to be doing for the day.

This was another good one! I feel like I am always reading a new book, downloading a new book or going out of my way to read... not that it is a bad thing at all!

  • Landscaper

    Landscaper

I typically leave this one to my husband, not because it is a "man's job," but because I don't trust myself with a weed wacker. I am an accident waiting to happen.
But reader Mary C submitted this one! Now I want to see her yard!

Weird. Most of these things are not the things you really do on a daily basis. Oh, and FTR, before tweeting to an author after having read all 3 books in the series, I would think you would spell the last name of one of the main characters correctly. How many times did you read the name Christian GREY (Notice, Grey and not Gray) I would be so embarrassed if I tweeted to an author and couldnt even get the name right.
