13 Necessities For Toddler OwnersNaomi Odes
Have you read this book? Brett R Kuhn and Joe Borgenicht wrote a hilarious guide to toddler parenting geared at Dads. The book offers “system maintenance” for your little one. If you don’t have it, I highly suggest you check it out. Along with this book, I have gathered a list of necessities for me, as a toddler owner…a.k.a. mom. Here are items I (and my toddlers) can’t live without in some form or another. Dads might like this list too. From sippies to toilets, this is a great list. If you have any to add, please do so in the comments!
Booster Seat 1 of 13When your toddler outgrows the high chair, it's handy to have a booster like this one for in the car or in your eating area.
Prince Lionheart Booster Seat $49.99
Snacks 2 of 13Organic Cheddar bunnies are a family favorite.
Annie's Cheddar Bunnies $3.39
Crayons 3 of 13You never know when you're going to need crayons. I have some in the diaper bag and a big tin of them at home. Lakeshore's crayons are really bright and much smoother than other brands I've tried.
Lakeshore Crayons $3.29 for 12.
Hand Sanitizer 4 of 13I keep a bottle of this in the center console of my car for a post-park shpritz.
Burt's Bees Hand Sanitizer $6.57
Potty Seat 5 of 13Whatever potty chair your toddler prefers, or might prefer in the future.
Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer $29.99
Sippy Cup 6 of 13I kind of hate sippy cups because they are such a pain to clean, plus all the parts and plastic, but these from klean kanteen are a little better.
Klean Kanteen Sippy Bottle $31.95
Snack Trap 7 of 13These prevent spills...sorta.
Snack Trap $5.99
Stool 8 of 13We have one in the bathroom, but my toddler kept dragging it around the house. So, we have one in almost every room, now. Not that I want him to use it, but he will anyway, right?
Bolmen Stool $7.99
Table and Chairs 9 of 13Toddlers love to eat and do projects at their own tables.
LÄTT Table and Chairs $19.99
Flushable Wipes 10 of 13Need I say more about this fantastic product?
Kandoo Flushable Wipes $2.99
Velcro Shoes 11 of 13I tried to fight the velcro urge by buying my toddler some lace-up Converse All-Stars. They were too cute for words, but as the Shnook said: "These shoes take a hour to put on." I'm over it.
Vans Kids Big School $30.00
Bubble Bath 12 of 13Ok, not a necessity per se, but definitely useful. I like this kind because I get the illusion my kids are mellowing out.
California Baby Aromatherapy Bath $13.89
Gummy Vitamins 13 of 13Thank goodness for gummy vitamins. Every morning my kid reminds me to give them to him.
Yummi Bears $17.95
