14 Laughs for Friday

By Danielle |

It is Friday!

For some of us it is also the first Friday of summer vacation and we are grasping onto straws to keep our sanity around the kids!

Don’t worry if you are having a rough time with the transition; I think we all are wishing school could be twelve months out of the year by now.

For me, it hasn’t been all that bad, but I was thankful when my mother was a saint and took my oldest son for a sleepover. Within the first two official hours of summer vacation, the boys were fighting .

Thankfully since his return yesterday they have all seemed to calm down a bit.

Addison is working on her walking skills, Ben is officially starting the potty training process and I have stored all of these cards to help get through the stress.

Lets be serious though, who doesn’t need a good laugh by Friday?

Happy Friday!

Speak for yourself about wishing school was year round. Some of us actually look forward to summer break just as much as our children do. They are only young once. Maybe you’ll feel differently when your oldest is 5 years away from leaving the nest like mine is.

  2. Sally Jones says:

I love it when school is out. The older kids are home from college, the 15 year old is home all day, and the 9 year old is terrorizing the neighborhood. My house fills up with kids from all over, we go thru lemonade by the gallon, and every night is a BBQ. No need to get the kids up in the morning-or to argue about bedtimes. I love the summer! What’s NOT to love?

  3. Jenn says:

Do you even like being around your kids? All you ever do is complain and whine about them, well about the boys. Your boys haven’t even been out of school/daycare a week and you’re already complaining? Unlike you obviously, some parents actually enjoy spending time with thier kids.
Wait…..let me guess….that was your attempt at “sarcasm” right?

Of course it is Jenn…don’t you know who you are reading…the so called sarcasm queen…even though it appears she does not know the meaning of the word…such a funny little girl! I love having my child home during the summer and when my adult children were on summer break, we had a ball! Too bad she will not be able to say the same.
