7 Days of Style: Instagram Challenge

7 Days of Style: Instagram ChallengeRecently the super sweet Meredith Pickup, owner and designer of childHOODS on Etsy, sent me a lovely little package filled with a few things from her shop for Fern. We already have a hooded sweatshirt from her shop and it’s my husband’s favorite item in her entire wardrobe – so cute and cozy soft! The items that we received were: a striped dress, a lace sweatshirt and a seafoam crewneck sweatshirt and these three items gave me an idea.

I decided that I would give myself a fun, little fashion challenge…but instead of it being a fashion challenge for myself, it would be a fashion challenge for Fern. And so I turned to my social network obsession Instagram with the hashtag #7daysofstyle and spent the next seven days remixing these three items that we had been sent to create seven different outfits. It was so much fun and definitely a stretch for me to get creative and I got such great feedback from my Instagram followers, that I decided to invite everyone to join in on the challenge!

Here are the details:

*Choose three items from your child’s wardrobe that you want to use for the challenge.

*For one week (starting next Monday 3/4 and wrapping up Sunday 3/10) you style your items in a new and different way and then upload a photo to Instagram with the hashtag #7daysofstyle.

*Oooh and ahhh over everyone’s cute kids on Instagram by perusing through the hashtag. (**NOTE: if your Instagram is private, you can e-mail me photos from the challenge if you’d like: loveoflittlethings [at] gmail [dot] com.

*At the end of the week, I’ll choose a few of my favorite style to share here at Babble (I’ll contact you first to make sure you’re OK with this).

That’s it! Hopefully at the end of this challenge you’ll be inspired to have fun shopping in your child’s closet to help them rock what they’ve already got in there instead of feeling like you need to buy more.

And just to get you started here’s a little slideshow, along with outfit details, from Fern’s #7daysofstyle challenge…
