7 Things I Won't Buy Until My Toddlers Are GrownMolly Thornberg
With 1 and 3-year old boys running around our house, to say that things are destroyed often would be an understatement. This is my second go-around with a set of toddlers. My 2 older kids, a boy and a girl, are now 8 and 10-years old. I’ve survived this thing before, but there is something about the mischief in these 2 toddlers that beats the pants off the first 2, hands down.
In December, we moved into a new home. There is a list of improvements to be made but after the first month here, I quickly realized – several items would be delayed after I realized what a rampage the toddlers can go on. It’s not just our home that the toddlers are good at destroying, with these 2 you just have to watch your back.
7 Things I Won’t Be Buying Until My Toddler is Grown 1 of 8My toddlers have conquered and destroyed. Here are the things I'm hitting pause on purchasing until they are older.
New Carpet 2 of 8A year before we sold our last home, we had put brand new carpet in. WOW, did it make a huge difference! Our new home has a few rooms with carpet that are totally in need of replacing. With the amount of peeing and pooping on the floor - we will be waiting to buy new carpet until everyone is potty trained, dogs included.
New Sofa 3 of 8Our sofa is over 10 years old. I love the thing, and it's lasted us thru 4 babies. With the amount of cushion throwing that goes around here, I can wait another few years (maybe).
Blinds 4 of 8For some reason, the last homeowners upgraded only half of the blinds in the home. Maybe they had toddlers. The cheap blinds have been destroyed in a matter of months.
Fancy Clothes 5 of 8Everyday has my clothes covered in snot and drool. Someday, this will be just a distant memory and can enjoy nice clothes.
Walls Painted 6 of 8Fortunately several rooms in this home were already painted when we moved in. And unfortunately our toddlers have decided to add their own artwork to the walls.
Expensive Face Cream 7 of 8Nordstrom's gave me this La Mer face cream in a swag bag. It makes my face feel amazing. My toddler thinks it makes his body feel amazing - I caught him lathering himself with it. (this stuff cost more than my first car payment.)
Cute iPhone Case 8 of 8
While I love these little munchkins with all of my heart, dear sweet children I’m not going to be blowing anymore money on nice things until you are grown.
