9 Best Learning Apps for Your Toddlers

By Danielle |

Our favorite Apps!

In my house iPhones, iPods, and iAnything are my lifeline. Ever since I dropped my BlackBerry and got an iPhone I have become a Apple loyalist and I am not looking back.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, for my family, my kids are following in my footsteps. My iPhone has become community property in my house; even my husband waits in line for it since becoming obsessed with a golf app.

In the past couple weeks I have gone on a mission to find the best apps for toddlers, including games and learning apps. I have been able to find flash cards and tons of learning games that will actually keep them focused, which I love.

My kids really have the same attention span I have, which is SHORT.

Anyway!  On to the list — please take the time to comment with your toddler’s favorite apps!  The more the merrier to share with other parents and readers!

These are amazing flash cards!
I love these because it is a little quiz for kids on numbers, shapes, letters and you can really download extra packages.
You can download animals, cars, all kinds of stuff!
This is probably MY favorite! Download the Toddler Teaser App Here

Austin is OBSESSED with Elmo ABC. It taught him his letters! But I totally take credit for it when he reads his letters to people. I mean, I bought the app! It’s totally my doing, right?! ;)

Heatpad (not for kids, but awesome for kids) jib jab jr and falling stars. All have free versions, but I’ve upgraded both heatpad and jib jab jr, and both are more than worth it. Not sure if falling stars has a pay version… My baby isn’t really old enough to use it yet, but I think it’s super cool, and pretty sure he’ll be fascinated in a year or two.

Thank you for the recommendations! We are going on a plane trip at the end of the month and I have been looking for new apps to entertain Edward. One app that I love is Tozzle. It is a puzzle app with all types of puzzles. Edward is 18 months and can do most of them by now without assistance but he still loves doing them over…and over…and over…and over..well you get the point!
