A Look At Our Insta-Month: March!

When I look back through all the pictures I took in March, it’s hard to believe it was all just one month. We traveled for two weeks across the Southeast, but when we were back home in Seattle, we were up to a lot of fun here as well. Trips to the zoo, playgrounds, and beach were highlights, but I tried to capture all the fun stuff in between as well.

I take a lot of pictures with my big fancy camera when I’m planning something special, or documenting a new milestone or moment. But in the day to day, I end up taking many pictures with my phone. Most of them are nothing but a blur running past the lens, but occasionally I get a quiet still moment that I can apply a filter to and share with the world.

Here is a look at our March, through Instagram!

One of Cullen's favorite things to do is to stand on his little step stool and look out the window. Naturally, garbage day is the best day of the week!

I snapped this picture of Cullen to send to my mom. She grew up in Stone Harbor, and I knew she'd love to see him in the shirt. Somehow he ended up looking like 8 year old or something ridiculous. He's growing up way too quickly!

A family trip to the zoo! Cullen and I go a lot on the weekends, but it's always more fun to go when dad can join us.

Our trip to the zoo also included Cullen's first ride on the carousel. He was sort of scared when it first started moving, but by the end he was smiling and laughing. Can't wait to ride it a lot more this summer!

Cullen loves the playground - rain or shine. On this particular day, it wasn't raining, but we'd had a long wet streak in the days prior. He didn't seem to mind that his pants were soaked from the leftover rain on the slide!

We took a big two week trip in March that involved two 5-hour flights to Atlanta. For all 10 hours in the air, Cullen only slept 20 minutes. I managed to snap a picture to prove that it actually happened!

We spent a week in Atlanta with Casey's family, and mostly just relaxed and hung out at the house with Cullen's grandparents. He loved having new toys and books to check out, and new people to read to him.

After our week in Atlanta, we hit the road for a 5-hour car ride to Hilton Head island. Cullen took his nap as we drove down, which definitely helped ease the pain of such a long drive. He's a really good traveler.

Once we got to Hilton Head, we met up with my sister and her family, including my 21 month old nephew! The boys had so much fun together, particularly eating together and throwing food at each other.

Cullen went on his first bike ride in Hilton Head, and totally loved it. For the rest of the week, we biked all over the island with him. I can't wait to look into getting a bike seat here in Seattle, so we can bike around this summer!

There have been no shortage of pictures of Cullen on the beach recently, but it's like a photographer's dream! He had so much fun playing in the sand, and I love knowing it's a place he will enjoy going back to time and again as he gets older.
