Anytime there is a beat this girl is booty dropping, spinning in circles and doing her signature arm pump. But when it comes to singing, she literally does it all day long. After I lay her down to sleep at night, I’ll listen and smile as she sings herself to sleep.
She only has a small handful of words, but she picks up tunes much more easily. She doesn’t sing the actual words yet, but she hums along and she does it in tune! I’m not going to delude myself into thinking we have a musical virtuoso on our hands or anything, but I definitely think my singing toddler has an ear for music.
The songs in her repertoire at 16 months include: “Old MacDonald”, “Row Row Row Your Boat”, “Frère Jacques”, “Los Pollitos Dicen” and a mash up of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and the “ABCs”.
And recently she added “It’s a Small World” to her playlist and I think it’s my favorite so far. I only captured six seconds of it due to the brevity of the Vine app, but they are six pretty adorable seconds.
I love this girl and the song in her heart.
