10 Yummy and Healthy Alternatives to French Fries

alternative to french friesIt’s totally my fault. We’ve had our house on the market for the last 2 months and anytime we have a showing and the kids need a snack, I run thru McDonalds and get french fries. Yeah, I should have gotten apples, but I didn’t. So yes, bad mommy and so bad that I can’t even think about the smell of french fries without wanting to gag.

Unfortunately, mommy’s bad decision has now introduced our toddler Izaiah to his favorite food. Anytime we ask him what he wants to eat, he screams “FWENCH FWY”.

EEK! While I know that he isn’t envisioning himself eating these oil fried potatoes every time his tummy growls – I’d like to think that maybe he just doesn’t have the words to express, “salad” — the fact of the matter is, we need to find an alternative. Something healthier and something that the toddler and the family can enjoy. Here is what I found.

10 Alternative to French Fries

Most of these, I would think you could freeze and heat up again later (and shove into a Ziplock bag and take to go!).

While I am creating this blog post – going through photos, my toddler is over my shoulder. Guess what he is screaming? FWENCY FWY! Maybe these will do the job!
