Are you there, Santa? It’s me, BA.

I want to say that it’s always hard for me to come up with a Christmas list and be all modest and blush-y.

But it’s easy. Really, really darn easy. I like pretty things and I like functional things and I can always think of something that would make my heart happy as a gift. I know, I’m materialistic. But sometimes I think that daydreaming of these pretty things keeps me going when I have crayon melted into my back pocket and dog hair on my wool coat.

In the past few years, my husband and Santa have gifted me UGG fur earmuffs, jewelry in a certain robin egg blue box, and loads of books. My husband is a very, very good gift-giver and puts a lot of thought into what I might like.  This year with the craziness of moving and our three-year-old, we decided to take it easy on each other and create official wish lists with multiple “sizes” of gifts.

I found that no matter what I put on my list, it seemed to all trace back to motherhood. I guess I really am a mom now, huh?

Here’s what I had on my list:
