Get Into Fall! 6 Fun & Simple Toddler Activities

There’s no denying it anymore. We’re in the thick of it. Fall is here so we might as well have fun.

If layered knits, Frye boots and knee socks, or baking warm treats and simmering soups doesn’t do it; playing with my little ones most surely will. As it always does. The joy I experience through their eyes is like no other. Contrary to popular belief, I actually like spending time with my kids and do a lot of it!

I’ve rounded up some of our favourite Fall play-time activities, hope you enjoy!

  • Fall Scavenger Hunt 1 of 6
    Fall Scavenger Hunt
A simple activity you don't need much for - except time and an imagination.

  • Bath-tub Sensory Play: Leaf Pile 2 of 6
    Bath-tub Sensory Play: Leaf Pile
I know. You're thinking, "as if I'm bringing a pile of leaves into mah house and into mah bath-tub!" My friends...your child will look at you like you are queen of the faeries spouting glitter out of every orifice if you do. Things get messy and dirty really fast with toddlers around anyways. Might as well embrace it, suck it up, get in there with them and clean up the mess after. (Enlisting their help of course!)

  • Autumn Playdough Sensory With Nature 3 of 6
    Autumn Playdough Sensory With Nature
I want to get into this one. Which clearly means it would rock for toddlers. Pumpkin pie playdough anyone?

  • Autumn Mobile 4 of 6

Obviously you're going to be helping your toddler with this one. I've found advanced activities such as this one to be just as valuable as the ones they can do on their own. My little guy loves learning how to do do something by watching me and takes great pride in proclaiming that he helped create something awesome.

  • Leaf Threading 5 of 6
    Leaf Threading
Such a simple and rewarding activity you can introduce your little one to.
Instructions can be found over on A Little Learning For Two
  • Fall Farm Sensory Tub 6 of 6
    Fall Farm Sensory Tub
This one is my favourite. I plan on putting something similar into action for my kids this week! Obviously I'll be playing in it too.
