Big & Little Fashions: Valentine's Day StyleLauren Hartmann
Before I had a child, I swore to high heaven that we would never, EVER dress in matching attire.
After having a child? Well…let’s just say the lines have become a little bit fuzzy.
I still refuse to dress in completely “matchy matchy” outfits, but a little bit of coordinating? Now that I can go for and I know I’m not the only mom who feels this way. So, I’ve decided to start a new series here of mommy + child coordinating outfits.
Today is a mommy/daughter Valentine’s Day Style (mommy + son version will be coming tomorrow!). Click through to see where each item is from!
Love Ballad Tunic 1 of 11This is technically a tunic, but looks long enough for the mama with hot legs worth showing off. It that's not you, then feel free to add a pair of black tights to give you some extra coverage and/or warmth! I love that this isn't a stereotypical Valentine's color scheme. The black and tan is very chic.

To Have and To Gold Earrings 2 of 11Little gold heart studs are perfect for Valentine's Day and every day after as well.
Purchase for $11.99 from ModCloth
Printed Chiffon Twist Scarf 3 of 11I just got one of these for my little girl and it's the cutest thing ever. I like it so much, I'm longing for one of my own and I love how these subtle polka dots coordinate (not compete) with the heart pattern on the dress.
Purchase for $14.00 from American Apparel
The Billie Boot 4 of 11Every mama needs a pair of cute ankle booties in her repertoire and these ones are fantastic. Totally comfortable and go with everything, but with just the right amount of heel to keep things stylish.
Purchase for $208.00 from Madewell
DIY Heart Sweater 5 of 11So, this sweater was exactly what I was looking for when it came to the "little" portion of this outfit, but I couldn't find a shirt or sweater like it anywhere. No matter, just find a tan sweater (likely from the boy's department) and DIY your own using this meant for adults tutorial that will still work for a little one.

Ocelot Tights 7 of 11These tights are pure perfection and coordinate with these outfits perfectly.
Purchase for $19.95 from Seed Heritage
Kid’s Cotton Spandex Jersey Skirt 8 of 11This skirt may look a little big, but I've seen it on small children simply rolled up at the waist. Give it a twirl!
Purchase for $15.00 from American Apparel
Baby Girl Mouse Mary Janes 9 of 11These little gold mouse shoes need to come live in my daughter's closet - Valentine's Day or not. She NEEDS them.
Purchase for $39.95 from Seed Heritage
Mini Ban.do Heart Clip 10 of 11If your little one is lucky enough to have enough hair, you can clip in one of these cute gold Ban.do heart clips. If your little one isn't blessed with long locks? Just clip it on to a headband! Bonus: you can borrow it!
Purchase for $10.00 from Ban.do
The Full Ensemble 11 of 11And there you have it. A cute and coordinate mother daughter ensemble for Valentine's Day!
