Good idea. Let your toddler name the new baby.

Some people think that their older children should have some buy-in when it comes to naming a new addition to the family. Sometimes they let them have some input on the baby’s middle name. Sometimes they let them have a vote on the first name. Sometimes they even let them pick the baby’s first name.

To all those people: Really?

Sure, maybe if you space your kids, say, 10-15 years apart can you expect a mildly reasonable choice for a name. But that’s assuming the older sibling isn’t secretly pissed there’s a baby coming into the house that they might even have to share a room with.
