Don't Miss The Boat!

Add an hour for every estimate you make on how long something will take!

So a relative has recently gone through a really tough time. Like, epic tough time. Lost her job, got in a bad car wreck, fighting addiction. The worst stuff.

The silver lining of a terrible month was the fact that her husband had booked a cruise for the two of them to go on to forget their troubles for a week and attempt to enjoy life.

Everything was set. They got up bright and early, leaving Philly for NYC with plenty of time to make it to the boat.

And then they construction on the New Jersey Turnpike…

They missed the boat! And folks, if you miss the cruise, you don’t get a refund.

I tell you this little tale of woe to remind you to leave yourself PLENTY of time to make it to the boat.

I’m a mom of two toddlers, I know how long it can take to load the car just to go to the grocery store. Binkies, bottles, snacks, toys… Times that by about a thousand when packing for a cruise and it’s going to take you longer than you think. Don’t underestimate this!

So, little tip from me to you! When estimating how long it will take you to get from point A to B, add an hour! You’ll thank me later.
