It’s official. I’m planning out the Holidays. Menus, cookie recipes, the gifts I’m buying and the ones I’m making. The first thing on my list? Christmas cards and photo gifts for family. (Mostly, the grandparents). As any parent of a squirmy, wild little toddler knows, pulling off a successful photo shoot isn’t always the easiest. I’ve rounded up an adorable selection of handmade accessories to bedeck your little ones in. Along with some fun, handmade and DIY backdrops and stick props your kids and the whole family can fool around with in front of the camera!

Let them squiggle and make silly faces. Candid, non-overly-posed shots are always the best anyways and the end product? You’ll have a great selection of photos to choose from for Holiday cards if you get to this business now, and pictures to frame as gifts for later. You’ll thanks me for all of this advanced planning a few weeks down the road, when you’re up to your eyeballs in all of it…(this stuff is so dang cute, there’s no way you won’t be inspired to get creative in front of the camera this Holiday season!)

Last Christmas my best friend gave me a really nice wooden Christmas card. It is color printed to Maple wood veneer and it folds which is super cool, the inside shows the message and the maple wood grain. I found out that a firm out in Colorado called Unique Custom Products made it. I am considering ordering from them this year…check them out if you like wooden items http://www.stampworldonline.com.
