A while back I curated a round-up of the ultimate holiday gifts for toddlers. I’m here to tell you what won out in the end and what’s been tossed aside, already forgotten.
Because…let’s be honest. That DOES happen. No matter how frugal we may (or may not) have been, guaranteed a box is going to be more entertaining than what may have come wrapped up inside it and some of those gorgeous handcrafted toys may loose their lustre next to the toddler tech.
You all know what I’m talking about.
While it’s up to us to keep engaging them in imaginative and creative role play, we all know we’re more than occasionally glad for the leaps and bounds made in tech toys for toddlers.
Here’s a few of the big hits for our little ones this season, what have been yours?
This. Stroller. 1 of 6Both the boy and the girl LOVE this thing. Which in all actually isn't the greatest thing. There have been quite a few lessons in letting Abby have her own things and exercises in patience from us when the meltdowns commence. But look. That right there is one blissed out toddler girl.
All the Baby Gear 2 of 6Little Abby has received 4 baby dolls this holiday season. I guess everyone received the memo on how much she loves them. When one of her g-mas gave her little pretend bottles and feeding gear? She lost her young toddler mind and has been alternating between feeding her babies and Schleich dinosaurs ever since.
Scheich Dinosaurs 3 of 6I really wanted Wyndham to love these. So bad. At this point he could take them or leave them. His sister on the other hand. As I mentioned earlier, she adores them so much that she makes sure they get regular feeding along with her babies, so.
Magnatab 4 of 6The only thing that Wyndham loves nearly as much as his Leap Pad? This thing.
The Glory 5 of 6Two two big ticket itmes we got them were the play kitchen and the Leap Pad. Both were and have continued to be well-received. Phew!
A Jedi’s Strength Flows From The Force 6 of 6Or in this case, a toddler. Wyndham gets a huge kick out of this little push and talk Yoda and especially adores that he can clip him onto his backpack. Stocking stuffers are the best. I may have bought two other characters and kept them for the mister and I. And something else that just begs to be noticed? YES, Scheich figurines are anatomically correct in every way. In cased you missed that. (Is that really necessary?!)
