Last month, I posted a satirical slideshow that many people found offensive, but many more people thought was spot-on. People connected with the fact that having a toddler is really hard…so hard that some days, you want to shut yourself in a closet and cry.
I’ve heard it before and I’m starting to believe…it does and will get better. Just ask these women who made the video Toddlers — You’ll Survive.
It’s too bad that this time of wonderful learning and exploration is also so wrought with such emotionally-charged behavior. Even though the love you have for your child continues to grow daily, the minute-to-minute can be trying, to put it lightly.
This video is a little long, but I have to say, it was nice to hear what happens when we come out of this dismal tunnel of toddler-parenting. It was heartwarming to hear these moms talk about what special and amazing people their toddlers have become despite the two or five years they spent with some really challenging moments.
I also want to give a shout-out to the tampon mommy. I feel your pain.
