I have been battling with the appropriate age range for a stroller lately. With my oldest forging out of toddlerhood this winter and becoming a full-blown kid, and my little toddler following in his footsteps I can’t stop wondering.
I mean, haven’t we all had those moments when we are out in public someplace like the mall, or in the store and you see that one kid that looks far too big for the stroller they are in? Feet dragging on the floor and all.
I can’t help but wonder if my kids are becoming that kid, and I am becoming that mom.
My oldest isn’t really interested in the stroller at all anymore, so I am not really worried about him. Once he busted out of the stroller this spring when Addison was born he really had never looked back. Although there are some days I am tempted to put him on a leash because he is that kid that would walk away with any random stranger.
My middle son who turned 2 in May is hanging on to the stroller with all he has. Rightfully so though, because if he gets out to walk with everyone he can’t help but straggle behind. Not only that but he is the one who is distracted by anything. Ever see the movie Up? You know the dog in Up? Yeah, that is him!
I need some other parents of toddlers to weigh in… Because I am really having a hard time figuring this one out… How old is too old for a stroller?
Or is it the size of the child?
