Huck Recommends…

Hi guys! It’s Huck again.

This is a shot of me and my mom watching some toons on TV. Mom was having a rough day and wasn’t feeling very well, so we snuggled up on the couch and watched a little movie. Do you guys get to watch cartoons? I do. I know not every kid gets to, but my Mom grew up watching old Disney cartoons with her dad, and so Mom considers Disney movies (the good Disney movies) to be part of our family tradition. She’s real careful about what I get to see (Dad was showing me some Spongebob person once and Mom shut that down so fast, man!) and she’s careful to make sure I get lots of imagination time and lots of playground time, but an hour or two a day of cartoons is a-okay by her. Besides… she’s pretty sure Jake and the Never Land Pirates is teaching me how to count to ten, so… Educational!

After the jump, Mom asked me to share one of our favorite tips for traveling, or for when I’m just really antsy while we’re on the go. Since I’m SUCH a great blogger, I was like, HECK YES!

So, my two favorite cartoons on the Disney Junior channel are Mickey Mouse Club House (oh that rascally Goofy!) and Jake and the Never Land Pirates. That opening song gets me so jazzed, man! I like to jump up and down and sometimes when I’m playing around the house I shout “YO HO!” and Mom thinks it’s, like, the coolest.

Mom used to buy individual episodes of  my favorite shows and load them in her iPhone for emergencies, but now you can download a free app called WATCH from the iTunes store HERE! It’s free, and you get ALL the shows! (You can also watch online at www.watchdisneyjunior.com) Right now there’s a special deal where you can download a free Appisode (like regular episodes, but longer, and they’re interactive, so you get to play on the iPhone or iPad while you watch! Um, I’m not big enough for any of that stuff yet, Mom says I’m not even big enough to hold the phone while I watch… but SOMEDAY!).
