Jobs My Toddler Would Be Good At

What would your toddler be good at?

Do you ever sit around and wonder what your toddler is going to be when he or she grows up?

All parents have super high expectations for their children, so I think it is just human of us as parents to expect and hope for the best. Right?

I often find myself thinking about things my little guy is good at and dreaming of jobs that could be a perfect match for Benjamin. Man does he have an arm on him… maybe he will be a pitcher on a major league baseball team, or even the star quarterback for his father’s favorite football team?

Since I can’t predict the future I thought I would do some guessing and also invite readers to guess what their kids might be when they are older based on their skills as toddlers. I started out with a couple my little guy would be fantastic at… and wrapped up with all the different jobs you guys thinks your kids would rock out.

    A Pitcher
Like I mentioned in my post, my toddler has quite an arm. It is great to see when he is out in the yard playing, but when he throws something inside I run for cover. Maybe one day he will be rich and take care of me? One can hope!

Seriously, this kid is fearless. He would probably jump right off of our back deck if he saw someone do it first. He is the only one out of my three I worry about breaking a bone.

    Used Car Salesman
Believe it or not, after high school I actually was a used car saleswoman. I wasn't that great and I only sold one car before I found a new job and quit, but I totally think my toddler could be a shining star because he could make YOU (or me) buy ANYTHING.

    Fireman
Since Daddy is a fireman, naturally the toddler is obsessed with the fire house and everything that has to do with being a fireman. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being a fireman just like daddy!

    A Zoo Keeper
My toddler is obsessed with the zoo. Going to the zoo, zoo animals, playing with his zoo he got for Christmas...anything zoo or wild animal related! I wouldn't be an ounce surprised if he grew up to work at a zoo.

This kid can DANCE! He is also completely mesmerized by Dancing with the Stars. Maybe it is because that kid from the Disney channel is on it, or maybe he just loves the dancing, but I really think we could see him on there in another 20 years (if the show still exists)!

    President
Maybe these are my really high mom hopes showing, but with the cheesy smile he has I am almost convinced he must go into politics some day. He just has that look! Plus, who doesn't want to think about their son running the country?

    Pilot
Amber thinks her son may be a pilot some day since he absolutely loves playing with toy planes. He also loves playing with toy cars, so maybe he and Ben can sell used cars together?

Kim suggested her toddler may grow up to be an author, who will grow up to write a book on how to delay going to bed. Sounds familiar!

Got a toddler that loves bugs? Jody does and she thinks her daughter will grow up to be a bug professional! Hey, I think my boys would be down with this one!

    Food Critic
Got a picky eater? I know I do and so does Sarah. What better of a job than a food critic? I know it is a job I would enjoy myself. What is better than eating for a living? YUM!

    Talk Show Host
We all want to see our kids on TV one day right? Maybe not in the same capacity as Chelsea Handler, but Rachael has a little tike that LOVES to talk! One day her daughter may just be the next Oprah.

  • Super Hero 13 of 14
    Super Hero
Don't all toddlers want to grow up to be a super hero? I have yet to meet one with other motives in life! Rachel fully believes if her toddler had a choice he would be a superhero when he grows up.

    Construction Worker
Construction workers make the world go round - and sometimes dance to the YMCA. But with amazing building skills, Vera thinks she may have a construction worker in the making on her hands!
