Making Healthy Breakfasts with Yogurt

By Emily |

Breakfast is so important for all of us, but especially for young children.  I know that if my kids miss out on healthy breakfast, or fill up on some sugar concoction that I gave them on a lazy day, things go bad.  What I have found is true for me is true for them too.  A healthy breakfast with protein in it makes a big difference in the rest of their day.

But, my kids don’t usually want to eat eggs every morning. Yogurt is a great way to mix protein in with good foods and find creative ways to keep kids happy. For me, yogurt is something I always keep in my fridge, and is a staple in many of our favorite breakfasts.

Here are six ideas for using yogurt to boost the protein in your breakfast recipes.

Emily — I tried your green smoothie a couple of months ago when I first saw you post it and my kids loved it. You have made some excellent suggestions here! How refreshing it is to see a parent who tries to make sure their children eat healthy foods without being gimmicky. Not everything that looks good on a plate is good FOR you. Keep up the good work!
