My Toddler — A Daredevil In The Making

I’m not sure why it surprises me that my son is showing signs of being a daredevil.

He takes after his father in every other way, so, I am sure that I can expect years of risk-taking, broken bones, and a preference for toys and activities that are questionably safe.

Evan is only 2-years-old, and I am already holding my breath when he rides his toy motorcycle too fast — how am I going to cope when he asks for a dirt bike?

I happen to know that the request for a dirt bike is inevitable, because my husband is going to make sure of that. I’m not sure why he is so dead set on our son following in his footsteps when it comes to risky sports and activities, when I would almost prefer Evan take up painting or start piano lessons instead!

I guess I just don’t want to see my baby get hurt, but, I know that no amount of worrying on my part is going to prevent that from happening.

Do you ever worry about your toddler getting involved in risky activities later in life?
