Okay, When Is The Biting Going To Stop?!

Will you quit biting me, Fuzzball!

I feel like I need to go to a special meeting.

Hello, my name is Naomi and my son is a biter.

My son bites.

Luckily, so far, he’s only bitten immediate family.  Mostly, he bites me,  but he’s not averse to sinking his chompers into his big brother’s hand, and he bit my husband a few times, too.

I feel like this has been going on a long time.  We had a real problem with the nursing and biting which has mostly been resolved. He bites me, I take him off my boob, c’est tout.

He doesn’t like that, so he stopped for the most part. But sometimes, when (it seems like) he’s getting bored, he does it again.

It hurts like a mofo, I will add.

Then there are the other times he bites me, like for example tonight when I was  in the middle of doing an important task-  making dinner- and he wanted my attention.  He has a handful of words thus far, and truthfully, he probably said “Mommy” a bunch of times and when I replied with “I’m making dinner, hold on!” or didn’t reply,  it wasn’t acceptable.

So, he went with plan “B” for “Bite.”

He is only sixteen months so I know he’ll grow out of it eventually, but if there is anything I can do to expedite this process, I wanna know about it and do it…NOW.

So hit me  me with your best toddler biting remedies. How do you get a toddler to stop biting his mama (or anyone else he might be biting)?
