Our Insta-Month: New Baby November!Emily Malone
We welcomed Graham into our lives mid-October, and last month continued to be all about transitioning to a family of four. I can confidently say that by the end of the month, it feels like we’re in a pretty good groove. Pregnancy feels like a lifetime ago, and it feels hard to remember the days of running around the town with just a toddler in tow.
We welcomed a lot of out-of-town visitors during November — one of the many perks of having a new baby! We felt spoiled with visitors and extra helping hands, and it was a great way to kick-off the holiday season. Here is a detailed look at our November adventures, as seen on Instagram!

We started our month with a visit from my sister, Sarah. She flew all the way from Indianapolis to meet Graham and hang with Cullen. As always, it went by way too quickly.

My first day alone with two kids — terrifying and exhilarating. I felt really proud that at the end of the day we were all alive and happy. The first day is always the worst, right?

Once Casey was back at work, it was up to me to figure out how to get through my days alone with two kiddos. It definitely helped that Graham was still so sleepy those first few weeks!

At three weeks old, Graham started to wake up a bit more and show us his personality. It was obvious from the start that he is going to be such a sweet baby!

Cullen's hair hadn't been cut in a few months and was starting to get out of control. I loved how it looked, but he was having to brush it out of his face all the time, and I felt bad that it might be annoying him. While we waited to find time to get to the hair salon, I improvised with one of my running headbands ...

As we settled into life with two, we learned how to incorporate Graham into things that were important for us to all do as a family — like bedtime routines!

The day that Graham turned one month old, my husband had to go to Miami for a week-long conference. My goal for the week was for all of us to eat, and for at least the boys to get some sleep. We (mostly) succeeded.

I feel so lucky that Cullen has had such a seamless transition into being a big brother. He has been a total sweetheart to Graham, and we've had minimal behavioral issues since our family expanded. I'm crossing my fingers that it stays that way!
November 14th 9 of 16
Graham turned five weeks old and started spoiling us with precious, gummy smiles!

We took Cullen bowling for the first time, and we had a blast. He spent the first half crying and yelling anytime someone knocked down pins (which was clearly quite often), but by the end he was begging for more and didn't want to leave.

Casey's brother came to visit and brought Cullen this cool Denver Broncos shirt! He also tested out dad's new headphones -- ridiculous!
November 19th 12 of 16
Cullen has been having a blast as his preschool this fall, and he asks to go almost every morning (he only goes twice). I can't believe how big he seems all of a sudden, especially with his grown-up fall wardrobe and adorable little backpack!

Cullen's new thing is refusing to get out of his crib after naps. He cries and wants me to come in when he's awake, but he doesn't actually want to get out. I'm not sure what this means for our potential toddler bed transition ...

I haven't been brave enough to take both kids to the zoo by myself yet, so we've been heading there on weekends instead. It's always more fun with dad anyway!

I picked up this little tool set at IKEA a few months ago, and Cullen loves to get it out whenever Casey is doing a house project. It is so adorable to watch him hammer alongside his dad.

We ended our month with another visit from family. Casey's parents arrived on Thanksgiving to meet Graham and spend the holiday with us. We feel so blessed to have seen so many loved ones these past few weeks!
