Our Week in Instagram

This week in Instagram

About two weeks ago I did a post called The Week in Instagram, and I really enjoyed sharing some of the photos that I have taken and all the fun stuff we did as a family.

This week we celebrated Memorial day, released butterflies in memory of my late sister, met a new baby, and had our surgical follow up with the boys’ dentist.

Overall a busy week — while still recovering from the hectic holiday weekend!

I wouldn’t change it for a minute though; the past couple weeks we have been having a blast and all the kids’ scuffles have been pretty minor which is refreshing as we are heading into the summer!

I wish that Instagram was actually around when my oldest son was a baby because it makes record keeping and documenting pictures so much easier. Snap a picture and it is virtually documented forever and you can go back to it at any time!

    Turning 27
I came to the realization I am turning 27 this month. It wasn't until one of my best friends texted this e-card to me that it really sunk in. Growing up sucks!

    Mornings in Our House
This is Ben before school in the morning. NONE of my children are morning people at all, just like me. It takes a good hour to get them ready for school in the morning. How cute is he? Priceless!

    Growing Up
Big brother had his Kindergarten orientation this week. Despite Ben wanting to join us, him and Addison hung out with Grandma for an hour and I brought my baby boy to meet his teacher for next year. Where does all the time go?

While visiting with their Aunt and Uncle the kids enjoyed a ride on their Uncle's new lawn tractor. I have never seen such excitement over lawn equipment.

    Memorial Day Parade
Every time a parade rolls around my husband is marching with his fire department. He does the color guard and holds the flags and calls cadence to keep everyone in step. The kids love seeing him in the parade.

    Good Friends
Nothing beats a good picnic with good friends, especially when your friends are starting to have kids of their own! Moms, take time for yourself! You need it!

    BLUE!
I am going through a mom-life-crisis lately and have been dying my hair all kinds of different colors the past two months. Last month it was pink, this month I decided on blue. Although when I washed it out my highlights were emerald green. It was fun either way!

    Met a New Baby
The kids met a new baby in our circle of friends. Little Nathaniel was welcomed into the world late in the week and the kids met him Friday night over pizza in the hospital. Addie is looking at him like... um... what the hell is that?
  • Butterfly Release 9 of 9
    Butterfly Release
Every year we attend a memorial butterfly release for our loves ones we have lost. With losing my sister late last year it was a different experience this year. It was beautiful and the kids loved sending their butterflies up to their Auntie Dawn and Uncle Chris, and all those we have lost.
