10 Songs to Help Your Toddler While Potty TrainingMolly Thornberg
The time is near. The signs are there. My 2 year old, Izaiah is on the verge of starting potty training. Am I looking forward to having 1 in diapers rather than 2? Well, sure – it will be nice to say some extra change on diapers – but in all honesty, I am SO NOT looking forward to potty training! I guess I will just have to suck it up and be a big girl and potty train my kid.
Izaiah is obsessed with music. Something we have started doing is acclimating him to songs about the potty. Our main goal is for him to understand that the toilet is where your pee and poop go and it is NOT a toy or a place for him to play in the water. From there, we will help him understand that pee is not poop and poop is not pee (he’s confused). So on our search for a good song for him to learn more about this new adventure, I came across several– uhm… how do I put this. DISTURBING. If you ever showed me these before I had kids, I would of told you these had to be a joke.
As stupid and silly as some of these are – my little dude is singing about pee and poop. Toddlers love stupid and silly. If are you potty training or on the brink of – try introducing some of these tunes!
