I’m ALWAYS on a hunt for new products that skirt the line between healthy and convenient. Sure, grabbing an apple, carrot sticks or raisins may be the best choice for a snack but in reality “natural” (and I mean that in the it’s grown out of the ground kind of way) snacks are not always the most appealing to our little ones. Sometimes they (we) want the kind of crunch you get out of a bag.
Today I saw a new snack on the shelf of a local food store called Mary’s Gone Crackers Sticks & Twigs. I turned the product over and saw quite an impressive ingredient list…
Ingredients:Organic Short Grain Brown Rice, Organic Whole Quinoa, Organic Brown Flax Seeds, Organic Brown Sesame Seeds, Organic Whole Amaranth, Organic Whole Millet, Filtered Water, Sea Salt, Organic Chia Seeds, Organic Wheat-Free Tamari (Water, Whole Soybeans, Sea Salt, Organic Alcohol).
Not bad, right?
When I tried one I was pleasantly surprised. They were super crunchy with a great sesame seed flavor. Honestly, I’m munching on them right now…
I wish they didn’t call them “pretzel sticks” because they are not pretzel-like at all in my opinion. If people bite into one expect a pretzel they are sure to be disappointed. They are just a fun crunchy snack stick and, I think, a great option for toddlers. Little Bean seems to agree.
Notice he’s double fisting. lol
Has anyone else tried these or any Mary’s Gone Crackers products. This is the first I’ve heard of them!
I hope to make Snacktastic Toddler Food Finds a series but I can’t promise I’ll find something new every week. When I do though, you’ll be the first to know.
Note: I am not affiliated with Mary’s Gone Crackers. Just discovered the brand today. This post is an editorial review not a paid or sponsored post. I received no money or product for writing it. However, I am an Amazon affiliate so if you decide to purchase and Mary’s Gone Crackers product online by using this link I would earn affiliate income.
