I always leave shopping for stocking stuffers to the last second.
I’m usually so wrapped up in getting all the big stuff that I space out the stocking stuffers. But man, as a child I was way into all the goodies packed into my stocking each Christmas morning so I feel some pretty significant pressure to get some good stuff for my kids.
Orange always goes in the toe and a box of LifeSavers always takes up the bulk of the stocking, and a pack of Kisses and other assorted chocolates are always sprinkled in too. But the rest of the bits and bobs I like to stuff in the sock always leave me fumbling.
What should I get? What will they like?
While you can choose to get fancy high ticket items like cameras or watches for your kids, as the mom of two toddlers, I’m keeping things simple. In my few Christmases with my little ones I have discovered that the best place to score a great deal on excellent stocking stuffers is the dollar aisle at Target.
You know, that little group of aisles near the entrance of every target that has everything from plastic popcorn holders to tiny Snoopy notepads to Christmas socks.

Next time you’re loading up on big ticket (yet highly affordable) items at Target, stuff like the Monster High collection or the new and improved Easy Bake oven, (LOVE!) don’t forget to stop off at the dollar aisles and load up.
