Toddler Craft of the Week: Hand-Shaped Butterflies

By Emily |

I’ve shared before that I’m not a very crafty mama. But, with school almost out for the summer for my oldest, I’ve set a goal of trying to do at least one crafty type activity with my kids each week. With all of the ideas you can find now on Pinterest, I am inspired to try some of them in real life, and not just let them sit and look pretty on my crafty boards.

This past week we made hand-shaped butterflies. It was a really fun and simple craft, and the kids loved it because they are obsessed with seeing butterflies outside. And I enjoyed it because they sat at the table and painted together nicely for a good amount of time.

Here’s how you can help your toddler make their own Hand-Shaped Butterfly:

I set each of my kids up with a piece of cardstock, basic watercolor paints, and a bowl of water.

What craft or activity did you do with your toddler this week?
