Toddler Food Strike

peanut butter jelly My toddler has always been a good eater.

When we introduced solids, I fully anticipated that it might be a difficult transition. The same when he started eating table foods, but, he always surprised us with his great appetite and willingness to try new foods.

I guess I should have counted my lucky stars, because things have definitely changed. All of a sudden, my toddler doesn’t want to eat anything!

Well, let me rephrase that. He doesn’t want to eat anything but peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter and jelly, he will pretty much eat without fail, which means I am cutting off a lot of crust.

I guess I would rather him eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich some days than nothing at all, you know?

I’m really not sure what has changed, or what kind of phase we’re going through, but I hope it ends soon.

Did your toddler go through a phase like this? How did you handle meal times?
