Two Thumbs up for this WeekBeth Anne Ballance
Oh, you know. Just welcoming in my final year in my twenties and I’m not sure whether to open a bottle of champagne or play Taps. It’s a total toss-up but I am determined to not do one of those “30 Before 30” lists that will inevitably make me feel like a sore loser. My husband brought home a lovely arrangement of roses for me, along with a cookie cake and a bottle of T. Swift’s new perfume.
Don’t judge me. Those pop princesses know how to make you smell yummy.
The BEST gift I received this week was a phone call from our realtor that OUR HOUSE SOLD! 100% no-contingency sold and we have a closing date of July 13th. Yes, that’s a Friday the 13th. No, I’m not superstitious. Now we just have to get past the inspection and find a new place of our own in the next five weeks. NO PRESSURE. And while I’m not sure any other gift could top the house selling, I’m putting in a request that next year for my 30th birthday, I would like clear skin. I can’t even think about wrinkle creams yet because I’m too busy trying to find an acne regime that works for me. Counting just today, I have 3 zits on my chin, 3 on my nose, and 2 on my right cheek. Too much information? Sorry.
So here’s what we did this past week:
(p.s. what on earth did bloggers do before Instagram? actually use our $500 DSLRs? crazy town.)
Those moments that really make me feel like a momma. 1 of 7Waiting by his shoes while he played with little friends in a bounce house. I looked down and there's my big feet (desperate for a pedicure!) and his tiny shoes and it just WHAM! I'm a momma!
Watching an old favorite. 2 of 7We introduced Harry to The Fox and The Hound this past week and he LOVED it. Anything with animals is just his style and it wasn't as sad as I remembered it being.
What a big boy! 3 of 7Y'all, my heart is bursting with pride and splitting in two. That's my big kid on a big kid swing and I'm not sure I'm ready for this new milestone.
Lots of relaxing on the weekend. 4 of 7It's been several weekends since we had the chance to just chill out. Harrison was thrilled to be home (and so were we!).
I have the bestest friends ever. 5 of 7My friend Brandy (@mannlymama) brought me a favorite Gigi's cupcake at work! So delicious.
Backyard fun. 6 of 7Our backyard is toddler entertainment central - splash pool, little swimming pool, swingset, chalkboard, trampoline. I cringe to think of moving it all.
Crazy tunnel slide vortex. 7 of 7We went down this INSANE slide together at a local farm where I sat on a burlap sack and put him in my lap. So much fun!
