What It's Like to Live with Grandparents (Harry Edition)

FacebookTwitterGoogle+TumblrPinterest

Hey, y’all!  It’s Harrison and I’m taking over my momma’s job to talk to you about the raddest, best, most coolest part of my life – living with my Gram and Grandaddy!

Seriously, living with them is better than a pick-up truck pulling a dump-truck that’s decorated like a bus.  It’s better than Lucky Charms on top of cotton-candy flavored yogurt with fruit snacks on the side.

Here’s why it rocks so hard:

  • Frequent trips to the park. 1 of 8
    Frequent trips to the park.
Gram & Grandaddy don't have a swingset in their backyard, so Momma and Daddy take me to the park after work all the time. Score!
  • Group hugs. 2 of 8
    Group hugs.
Every night before bed, I ask for a "group hug," which means that all my favorite people pile in with me squished in the middle. It's the best way to end a day.
  • New toys. 3 of 8
    New toys.
I can pretty much count on Grandaddy or Gram slipping me a new Matchbox car every few weeks. Just because I'm awesome.
  • Four adults means four cars. 4 of 8
    Four adults means four cars.
Means more trips to the carwash.
  • Really fun adventures. 5 of 8
    Really fun adventures.
My grandparents never mind doing super-fun special thing that I'll enjoy, like getting donuts on Saturday morning.
  • Happy cakes! 6 of 8
    Happy cakes!
Once Gram realized that I could sing the Happy Birthday song, she started bringing home "happy cakes" for just about every occasion. Now I get a small piece after dinner for good eating and behavior!
  • Lots of walks. 7 of 8
    Lots of walks.
With me and Tuck running circles at the end of the day, Momma always suggests a "small family" walk, which means it's just me, her, Daddy, and Tuck.

I just love them to pieces. I get to see them every day and that is the best part.
