Why I'm Ready For My Toddler To Be A Kid

By Naomi Odes |

big kids' feet and a toddler's feet

Two big boys and one small.

Okay, the above statement is a flat out lie. Just look at these reasons why I will miss my toddler so much and you’ll get it. Regardless, the inevitable will happen, so I might as well at least pretend that I’m excited my toddler(s) are growing up.

If I dig deep, I can find a few reasons why it won’t be so bad to see my kids get older.

Okay, maybe I don’t have to dig so deep. Perhaps toddlers are difficult for a reason, otherwise we’d all be sobbing our way through life, right?

Oh, you already are? Me too.

But anyway, here are a few reasons I’ll be glad to see my toddler become a kid.

I can take them on an airplane without issue.

Okay, maybe not without ANY issue but surely fewer issues than the last time.

I am all about the big kids! Once Maddy turned 4, things got way easier…and would have been a piece of cake if we didn’t have a new baby join us right at that moment! I am so looking forward to the time when Abby is 4 or 5, done napping, potty trained, etc. That’s when I’m taking a big vacation to Europe for the first time in a really long time.
